About Me

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! I’m Marijan Sivric, but most people call me Mika.

I’m a tech guy who has spent almost my entire career working as a technical consultant, solution architect, and project manager. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been building, implementing, and supporting business software—mostly ERP systems, databases, and data-related solutions.

This is me trying to look good…

But tech has always been more than just my job.

I’ve always loved technology in general—how it evolves, how trends come and go, and how new tools change the way we work and think. This blog is my place to share that interest.

Here, I write about:

  • Latest tech news
  • Business software and ERP systems
  • Data, SQL, Excel, and analytics
  • AI and automation
  • Productivity and focused work, especially for people in tech

Some posts are technical. Some are opinionated. Some are simply things I find interesting or worth discussing. The common theme is technology and how it’s actually used in the real world.

I believe experience matters. I’ve seen projects succeed, fail, and fail in very creative ways. Sharing those lessons—and my ongoing learning—is a big reason why this blog exists.

When I’m not working or writing, I enjoy:

  • Reading – technology, business, psychology, productivity, and sci-fi
  • Investing – mostly long-term (yes, I consider it a hobby)
  • Hiking – mountains help me reset
  • Music – mainly rock and metal, but I’m open to almost anything
  • Cooking – I genuinely enjoy preparing food
  • Photography – especially nature and landscapes. You can find some of my photos on Unsplash.

Thanks for stopping by.

If you enjoy tech, thoughtful discussions, and practical perspectives from someone who’s been in the field for a long time, you’ll probably find something useful here.

Cheers,
Mika
